Natural Patterns uses an experience of recognizing, detecting, and reasoning about patterns in nature to promote a new form of citizen science -- one in which participants learn about the scientific process experientially as they engage with the natural world through discovery. The project explores how citizen science can engage people in learning the mindsets of scientists, while at the same time developing interest in science and scientific dispositions.
